A feature of comparison in sign language which is rather unique is that the most used formula for comparison is that of superiority, and the relation of inferiority is not used at all. However, there exists an alternative structure representing inferiority using the signs "more" and "less", as in the following example:

    "I've been living in Barcelona for a shorter time than you."
