In many cases the plural concept is expressed by means of an additional sign bearing this meaning, as in, for example, "many", "few", "quite a lot", "too many", "all", "some", "most", "very many", "great  variety".

    "Tonight we're going out for dinner with some friends."
    "There were a lot of people yesterday at the demonstration."
    "There are few children in this park."
    "There are too many cars in Barcelona."
