Research lines:
1) Identification of new therapeutic targets in the nervous system; 2) Neurochemical basis of addiction induced by opiates, cannabinoids and nicotine, addressing both the physical aspects and the components that motivate repeated consumption of these drugs of abuse. 3) Study of diseases and conditions related to addiction, such as affective disorders, cognitive deficits, chronic pain and disorders of food intake, as well as the possible use of drugs for pharmacological treatment.
