The group consists of clinical neurologists with training in basic research and basic researchers who are integrated into the clinical activities to achieve a constant feed-back between them. Our research develops primarily from human samples and clinical observations. This has led to the discovery of potential biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis in inflammatory neuropathies and myasthenia gravis, a description of the regenerative potential of pericytes, diagnostic tests and biomarkers in muscular dystrophies and genetic studies in ALS.
