The place of articulation refers to the specific location in which the sign is articulated. This place is located at a specific point of what we call the signing space, which is the specific space in which Sign Language is articulated. Thus, the following minimal pairs are different only regarding place:

    "Dirty" / "Thief"
    "To remember" / "Difficult"
